I made this pattern and sewed it many years ago for my at-the-time boyfriend (he's my husband now). It is large enough to use as a game board and my husband framed it (he made the frame) using lexan so that it would be scratch resistant.

I've seen a few of these and showed my son pictures of different ones. I thought it was crochet until looking at the smaller ones. I have some cross stitch material. I have the small ones and large ones. I might have to make a graph to crochet it. He wants a rug.
